What we collect and why

When you contact us through our contact form, we ask for:

  • required: your name, your email address, and the services you’re interested in
  • optional, up to you: your phone number, budget range, timeline, current website address, a description of your project, and how you heard about us

We use this to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. If you leave optional fields blank, it won’t affect your enquiry. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

When you email or phone us, we keep the details you share so we can respond and keep a record of our conversation, on the same legal basis.

When you use our Free SEO Audit tool, we process the website address you enter in order to run the scan. We don’t ask for your name or email to use the tool.

When you browse the website, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are visited and how people find us. Google Analytics only runs if you accept analytics cookies. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We don’t sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We only share personal data with service providers who help us run the website and business:

  • Wesbsite hosting: email and backups. Data is stored on servers in London.
  • Google Ireland Limited: Google Analytics, only with your consent. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We may also disclose information where required by law, for example to Revenue or in response to a valid legal request.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: 6 years from our last contact, then deleted.
  • Client records (correspondence, quotes, invoices): 6 years after the end of the financial year in which the work finished, as required by Irish tax law.
  • Google Analytics data: 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.

Website and email backups follow the same periods. Data deleted from our live systems is removed from backups as they rotate.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data deleted, where we have no legal reason to keep it
  • restrict or object to how we use your data
  • receive your data in a portable format
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To use any of these rights, contact us using the email or phone details above. We’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at www.dataprotection.ie.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the website work, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Security

Our website uses SSL encryption, and access to enquiry data is restricted to us. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
